Woof, Woof, Woof - Woof, Woof, Woof - Woof woof woof woof woof
That's it, that's my rendition of Jingle Bells, but I wanted to remind you that time is ticking away and Christmas will be here before you know it. And, I know Santa will be arriving with lots of treats for me, because I have been a really good boy. You know how I know? My mom tells me so all the time.
I hope everyone is having and has had a wonderful summer so far, because mine has been great. The life of this Jack Russell just couldn't get much better. Be sure to check out mom's schedule, because I understand there are some really fun things to do, and don't forget, Christmas will be here before you know it. Homemade gifts are best!
Happy Holidays everyone,

Fred's Footnotes

(Quilting Advice from a Cat with Attitude)
Dear Fred,
The last time I used a fusible web product I ended up with a real mess on my iron and board cover. To make matters worse, the images and letters I traced were backward after I fused them to my project. Where did I go wrong?
**Signed, Confused Connie
Dear Connie:
If there's one thing that gets my hackles up, it's a sticky ironing board cover! The first rule when using fusibles is to put an applique sheet on your ironing board to protect the board cover. Magically, the fusible will not stick to the applique sheet. Then read the printed instructions that come with the fusible product (in English, Espanol or Francais, mon cherie) so you will know which paper layer to draw your images on. Pay attention my friend! Steam-a-Seam can be tricky at times because the fusible layer will sometimes turn traitor and stick to the opposing paper layer. And if the pattern does not provide the images drawn in reverse, flip those kittens over before you trace them. And finally, never let the hot iron touch the fusible goo. The iron is applied only to the paper layer or to fabric. Call me when you get your new board cover on, and I'll come over and test-nap it for you.
